General Submission Guidelines
We accept several types of writing submissions. We prefer that all submissions be sent in the body of an e-mail. If you have special mark-up requirements (italics, underlining, etc.) please either use html or make an obvious note of it so we can format your work correctly.
Authors retain all rights to their work. Please let us know if you are submitting a reprint.
Please include a short author bio with your submission. The bio should be no longer than 50 words and may include a link to your personal website. You may also include a mug shot if you so choose.
Authors will be notified if their work is accepted a week before the launch date (unless the submission is turned in late). We do accept late submissions on occasion so if you've missed a deadline please don't hesitate to contact us and ask if we are still accepting submissions.
Features
These are articles that reflect the theme of the issue. You may submit personal essays, advice, humorous stories, or any other type of article as long as it ties into the theme in some way. We enjoy reading a variety of "takes" on each theme, so please feel free to think outside the box. There is no specific article length.
E-mail feature submissions to features@mosaicminds.net.
Prose
We accept short fiction, creative non-fiction, and other types of prose. These submissions do not need to reflect the issues theme, though they may if you wish. We do not accept erotica or fan fiction. Our target audience is primarily women, so please keep that in mind before you send in your story.
E-mail prose submissions to prose@mosaicminds.net.
Poetry
We accept poems of all lengths and style. We do not accept erotica or fan fiction. Poems need not reflect the theme of the issue.
E-mail poetry submissions to poetry@mosaicminds.net.
Other
We have several columns that require guest authors on occasion. We accept guest reviews for all of our book review columns. We are particularly interested in guest contributors for our Gush column. This is simply a column that allows a writer to spread their love of something--a sport, a season, a type of food, or anything else that contributors want to "gush" about. Please look through our archives to see the type of writing we require for each column.
We also accept submissions in all of our other sections. Please familiarize yourself with our publication so you will understand the types of articles we are looking for.
E-mail submissions or queries to editor@mosaicminds.net.
