or has she eaten
her fill of them?

You have washed
my scent
away.

How long since we
made love?

Will it be longer still,
waiting
for her scent
to pass?

The Author

Karen was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1961, immigrated with her parents to Norway in 1975. She soon had children, but she has written off and on throughout her life and now takes Creative Writing in English at the University of Gävle, Sweden, via the Internet.
