Jessica Wood is a graduate student working on her Ph.D. in astrophysics. When not studying the distant universe, she tried to single-handedly save the world, but she soon realized she might need some help with that, so she began researching, writing about, and sharing ways to help the environment. She would like to try writing fiction, but can never quite figure out how to start before she gets too wrapped up in other things. Jessica plays cello and African marimba, and reads more than she should considering how much schoolwork she has. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her computer-programmer husband and a small forest of jade plants.
