Pretty in Pink

by Beverly Tjerngren

Beverly Tjerngren.

I was very much a tomboy as a kid. I loved fishing and camping, I built countless forts with my brothers, I caught snakes for fun, and I had what I considered a healthy aversion to all things pink. I got a little more "girly" as I grew older, but I never outgrew my dislike of the color pink. Read more.

Girl Gone Wild

by Nicole Bristol

"What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear." The words of my favorite hymn washed over me and my heart gave a leap of joy. Saturday had been a trial--whiny four-year-old, cranky six-month-old, sleep-deprived mom. I vowed the next day would be better, but by two o'clock, facing the rest of the day with a baby who refused to take a nap, I did something I always swore I'd never do. I packed the two children into their car seats and drove. A Sunday drive to sleepyland. Read more.

Never Say It Can't Be Done!

(The Story of the Man, the Moose, and the ... Bicycle?)
I am a desert girl from Southern California, and before I moved to Sweden my contact with wild animals was limited to the smaller variety, like scorpions, spiders, and snakes. About the closest we ever got to hunting was when my dad killed a rattlesnake in our backyard when I was three years old. But we didn't eat it. Read more.

Granny
