Welcome to the Time Warp issue of Mosaic Minds! This month we've got a ton of great features that will blast you into the past. Time is a strange thing, isn’t it? We're walking along in our present life when suddenly we find ten years have passed and we don't know how we've become so different. Or maybe I'm the only one who looks back at the past with a sort of awe, wondering how I finally became a responsible adult.
I'm very pleased to announce that Mosaic Minds will be participating in the Best of the Net contest sponsored by Sundress Publications. We were able to nominate only two short stories and six poems from the past year, something that made me agonize for days. In the end I chose the following nominees from last year's submissions. We appreciate all our contributors and hope to see your name on this list next year!
Fiction
Shame the Devil by Lee Ann Sontheimer Murphy
Dog Out of Water by Lisa Plantico Carlsson
Poetry
Who Are You? by Adam Jeffries Schwartz
If Only My Heart Could Hold a Pen by BethAnne Yoxsimer Paulsrud
Through Waters by Sandra Herbert
I Said I'd Never Give My Heart Away Again by Chris Patterson
Nature's Cathedral by Kelly Sharp
Anticipating Disaster by Elizabeth Wawrzyniak
Don't forget to send in your submission for our next issue of Mosaic Minds. The theme is "A Fine Line." Remember that only features (usually personal essays) need to reflect the theme. Short stories and poetry may reflect the theme if you so choose, but it is not necessary. The submission deadline is September 15.
